Camouflage
By: Noah Eaton
5/7/01

Kissed in the sunshine of justice
A newborn with a new peace-of-mind
Turning your back on self-prejudice
Delighted to see your dreams no longer confided

Born under a black veil, shy to declare who you are
A timid spirit tucked away in fear’s cocoon
Pride growing in time, mind vacillating to hark
A recipe of a lifelong dream vigorously brewed

Self-obeisance the sunder upon destiny’s prison
Now a happy stripling tasting justice through metamorphosis
A stalwart martyr marching on proudly with reason
Hammering a coup de tat on discouragement

How many dreams must one transgress
Until one finds oneself transgressing beside their dreams?
How magical a tree can look bare in one sense
Only to see the morning come, glistening with leaves

Living within a Molet restaurant patio setting
Sitting back within an impressionist’s dream
Great a task it is to move on and design your own scene
Sabotaging camouflage, revealing the true you to everybody

Remove your camouflage, reveal your spirit
In the space between, we are fueled with a vital purpose
We must be who we wish to be
We must be who we want to be

Goodness, I read this twice and it's so perfectly stated. I loved this.

Have you ever known the color grey when the nighttime finds you weak
I have, I've walked that road each time; that's where my angel sleeps
