A Mother’s Wish

To watch you play together,
fight, hug and kiss.
That is a mother’s gift.

The dream of every young girl
is to play house,
to be the wife
and mommy.

We honor those
who gave birth to us.
We honor the tough times
they had to go through,
though most of the time
we never knew.

I am a mother now
and watch my children play.
I watch them fight.
I put them to bed at night,
but on this special day
when we remember mothers,
I wonder if they will every know,
or ever think of me
the way that I would like for them to.

So wonderful... Mine left me with a picture of herself "all grown up" with a poem she wrote. That when I died, how she would look like years from now. Talk about a cry session. Just another memory token. LP

I like what this one has to say. As parents we all make sacrifices that our children will never be aware of until they have kids of their own. Such good work here, my friend.
