He likes the way
I start to laugh
before I even start to tell
and without thought of "funny/NOT"--
he said he has to smile as well.

He likes my voice,
my words of choice
he said my hands lead band's express.
He likes my eyes--
he says, "they're kind..."
He said, "You have a grand presence."

He likes the way I won't back down--
the way my eyes can turn to gray.
He likes to watch me stroke my thigh,
so casually as my thoughts play.
He says he does anticipate
he watches as I contemplate--
as cat-to-mouse, a funny game,
He listens--says he cannot wait.
He holds his breath so he can hear-
and says he loves me being near...

He's said so many lovely things.
He said I write the notes he sings.
He called my words a whisper's wind--
called me Satan--temptor's grin
and then he called me mere device,
enchantment of a soul's demise.

In fury, then, he slammed a fist
and said he'd not burn for a kiss--
that I was just another whore...
but never would he want for more.

And then he said I'd burn in hell.
He kissed me, "bye!" and wished me well...

Power to you girl---  I will not cast a stone at you. It was hard for you to speak as you did. But I will not cast a stone at him either. I've observed and watch then be able to make a sound decision. I will but turn the other cheek. LP

tis never easy being a moth ...
tis not easy being the flame ...

they are one in the same.

see the lights faded
that heaven is overrated
Did you fall for a shooting star
One without a permanent scar

I've been turning the other cheek all my life, what do you do when you run out of cheeks... don't answer that! This is amazing writing.
