Earthen deities
Predetermined to be of divinity
Standing illustrious--recognized
To shine enswathed in brilliancy,
To become preeminent
In the quest for a common ground.
Crumbling, old stone walls
And the ruining of tranquillity
Hold no power over those
Who push beyond the poverty
And injustice of the world
To observe the perpetual beauty
Present within us all.
