This One's For You Mom

Remember where you came from
because it all started with Mom.
Who was there with you when you were born?
Why yes of course it was Mom.
Many moons ago our future Mom
came into this world to do her dance.
Without her seven children could never be born.
Seven lives that would never have a chance.
So take some time today
to stop and think about your Mom.
She's seventy five years old today
and most of those years she's been a Mom.
As time flew by as years progressed
she found with seven children she was blessed.
Now I think that's quite a few
and I know Mom love's everyone of you.
Our Mom never seemed content with just a few.
Year by year the names and numbers grew.
Carol Patrica was the first born.
Barbara Jean became number two.
A boy named James Michael makes the number three.
Terry Ernest added one more and now we have four.
John Wayne is alive and that make's five.
Robert E. is a kick and now were up to number six.
Last but not least Debbie Susan makes it seven.
Could be worse it could be eleven.
So I hope all seven of you have the desire
and the inclination to stop and show your Mom
some love and appreciation.
Yes I'm talking to all seven of you.
And of course that seven includes me too.

James, you've wrapped up two special occasions into one great gift...Congratulations to your Mother, for raising such wonderful kids, and a poetic son, to boot!

She must be happy in more than seven ways, and will be so touched by this beautiful tribute

I'm glad she still has her seven.  My mom had seven of us and we loved her dearly.  Joyce
