In this moment "I" explode
with no regret of destiny
I cannot hold you much too close--
in you, I find the rest of me.

Every word you speak, I know,
before it's ever said.
Every breath you breathe? I dream,
in restless toss of sheets of bed.

Your very voice is food to soul,
your touch, imagined treasures gold...
Each glance of eye to meet my own
is but a seed of lover's moan.

And now you ask me to explain,
Does rainbow ask the "why" of rain
or beg the sun to shine again?
I am no longer--shadow prone.

Well done I particularly like the last stanza.

A bit like...
"Does twilight ask the sun's permission, or dawn the forgiveness of the night. "

My compliments

will you just KNOW all the rest...
yes...you know.

This is beyond excellent, serenity!  Your rhymes just flow so perfectly!  I love this!

I've always felt the crux of poetry is metaphor and this makes the reader
read again and again and again, the phrasing is outstanding, in fact I wanted more, and I don't say that often!!!!!
