Designing Thoughts

My Dearest,

Thoughts of thy breath
warm my body this night,
from the chill of loneliness.
Flesh remembering thy touch
felled upon me, by the gentlest of hands.

I have awakened to thine call, beckoning.
Conscious, am I, to shadows cast
in darkness, highlighted
by the moon's glow, my vision drawn
to the length of you.

I am resting, head in hand,
pounding thoughts subsiding, finally.
Words outpouring my needs,
traveling the night's distance
to be one with thee.

This night seemingly long, as I envision
the moments last, of togetherness,
a time of quiet, silence speaking to me
in the hold of arms, worth more
than my need of words, I wish thee to know.

I shall descend, once again, into the deep
closing off the present, awaiting the next,
beneath it all, dwelling in memories,
in affections hold, sailing the night
in drift with you, taking me to dreams
yet to unfold...

Lovingly Yours,
Lady Ollyne

To hear with eyes belongs to love's fine wit"...Shakespeare

"In drift with you" I like that, I like that last stanza especially.

Nicely done.

Lady, it is good to see you, and your letters, return.

It's been too long....

Lady O

I really like this verse:

I shall descend, once again, into the deep
closing off the present, awaiting the next,
beneath it all, dwelling in memories,
in affections hold, sailing the night
in drift with you, taking me to dreams
                       yet to unfold...

O dream away............

I must agree with Lady Sunshine, it has been far too long my Lady. . .

A thousand thanks for this. . .

with voice of golden nightingale,
she sings of love's regale,
passion's song upon night's wind,
of love, t'will never end.

nice to read you again fair lady. I know not of whom you seek, but am pleased to be able to once again listen in to your song to your wayward knight.
