The Night the Moon Crossed Over

Traveling the night skies, with eyes
you brushed my dark, unsealed images,
those in shades of blue.

Beam-touched, you crossed over
held my every breath, closed in,
gathered my passions, to be consumed.

Unique are you, shadowing my thoughts,
wearing your scent, flooding my mind,
lingering there, in midair.

I can thrive on your lips touches
flee to my knight's dreams,
release desires, bind my world unto yours.

As you reign upon my patterned days,
I myst within these dark retreats,
soul feeling captive to your wishes.

In silent harmony, I cross the times past
embrace each moment shared,
delight in the sparkle from your deep.

And on this night, I watched the moon,
in all its eloquence, cross over
and bestow upon me, a lasting glow of hope.

I was going to choose a favorite stanza, I started with the 2nd from the last, then wanted to add the last, then read the 3rd from the last again and it would need to be included, too. So I stopped figuring I'd just be reposting your entire piece here.

Guess what!  I really like this poem!  That title pulls the reader in.

thank you, Virginia, I have held the title for a few days...the moon that night on my ride home would keep crossing over the highway to be in the view of my eyes...so I came home and wrote the title...waiting  for the rest to follow.

Moving in the dark, midnight blue,
Eyes watching the sentinel moon,
As we all move from going to.

Wavering yet steady in points of light,
Amidst thoughts arriving too soon,
Events echo in dreams of the night

lots of great poetic phrasing in this one, Maureen, "knight's dream"
way to go!

I was once told that sometimes the title says it all....

it did, but then you enhanced it just the same!

Wynter~
And you had to know I would like this one !

Understanding perfectly that the title captured your impressions~
and your pen etched the embodiment of your thoughts.

Wonderfully done, gal !

Isn't it amazing how sometimes the words come but no titles, and other times the titles come before the words.  This worked well Maureen.
