Taken For Granted

Please tell me … have I taken you
for granted lately dear?
The love and generosity
you give throughout the year?

For try though I, to never lose
perspective come what may,
I wonder if my good intentions
ever go astray.

The little things you do for me,  
I so appreciate,
I hope you know I notice
all the efforts that you make.

Too often I become absorbed;  
distractions come and go,
While little things are overlooked
in daily life, I know.

So if I haven't shown my love
in all sincerity,
I'd like to thank you dear,
for all the joy you bring to me.
