The cat knew where it was at
She just wasn’t saying all that
Not to the dog
Not to the mouse
Not to the kids
Playing by the house
To another she would not say
On this or any other day
Where it was at
Because she was the cat
And that as they say
Is that!

So off the calico did go
For where it’s at the cat did know
Over the fence
Around the tree
Through the bushes
And on past me
The only one upon her trail
Was the twitch within her tail
Hypnotically slow
Swaying too and fro
It did not show
The way to go

For where it is at
Remains to the cat
And she just wasn’t saying all that

Thank you one and all. And yes, this one is for my daughters who just love cats... especially the stray calico that roams the neighborhood.  Peace!

I love this!! Has a 'Dr. Seuss' feel to it. I'm going to save this gem in my library.
