TENDER IS THE LOVE...

By Martha Cowan

Tender is the love you give me...
Delicately exploring the deepest levels
Beneath the oceans of my soul.
Leaving me spellbound...and longing...
To disappear in all that you are
Absorbing the enchantment
Of illusions penetrating reality
Silhouettes of your presence approaching
Beyond flickers
Of candles of hope
Illuminating the windows of your spirit.....
Erasing the darkness
Once surrounding my heart
In despair.....
Struggling to survive
Beneath the weight of
so many jagged pieces
of broken dreams
Resting upon it, and smothering the beats
for so many years.

Tender is the love you give me....
A velvet blanket of peace...
Of Hope...
And Promise....
Embracing me in a warmth I've never known
......until YOU......
Erasing the shivers of loneliness
Replacing them with trembles of ecstasy...
Inviting me to slumber
In chambers of
Dreams that come true....
As you ressurect them
From graves of the past....
Your lips breathing new life
Into them....
As your hand extends them back into my life...
One....by....One....
Precious and priceless gifts
To be shared....
And celebrated....
As they are phased into reality.

Tender is the love you give me....
Taking my hand inside of yours....
Showing me life through your eyes ~
That seek also the dreams
I painted
So many dark and lonely nights...
Behind the curtains of my soul.
Smiling from the distance
And whispering.....
Reassuring....
Waiting upon the sands of patience...
Saturated by tides of renewal
Soothed by the gentle breezes
Carried within destiny's kisses....
Sweet song of an angel.....
Serenading my heart with magical lyrics.....

~ I love you ~

I am so proud to call you my "bestest dudette", and brother you may love than man to death girl, and something tells me he is going to love every darn minute of it!     This was simply the most beautiful testament of true love I have read.  Now, aren't you glad you are a poet at times like this?  See you soon.  Bravo!

Sharon...There is nothing more beautiful than the friendship between poets...they understand all of the "thingy's" written in between the lines...and there is a passion for communication of everything that is waiting to speak inside of the heart and soul..Now...I'll stop blabbering like a poet..and say..."I love ya"...you've been there for me when no one else was...and yes...I do love him to death...and we are both going to love every minute of it!!!!!
(we'll be seeing ya soon!)...winks..
Millions of hugs...luv ya, dawn

This is so beautiful ... every time I read it it touches me even more deeply ... when your heart speaks, it leaves no doubt as to it's origin, and to it's future ... thankyou for these captivating words ... and for the emotions between the lines
