Those, Not Long Ago

Replayed my thoughts, events of mind,
Those, not long ago.
Caressing touches, loving's find,
Held on in moment's low.
To balance truth with hopelessness,
To enter morning's light,
The real of once, a fantasy,
I sleep upon each night.

He knows the moments deepest touch.
He knows each bruise, each feel,
The sharp of words, the tortured soul,
The opened wounds to heal.

I use to be "of sweetness" made,
A monster I've become.
Inside eating, through to out,
Each passing takes my sum.
Disperses it, subtracts from me,
I feel the anger, so.
Replayed the tape in mind, events,
Those, not long ago.

I've dreamed the life I thought I led,
Or led the life I've dreamed.
Not sure this day, which is which,
As I've become unseamed.
I've tried, I've sighed, I've been denied,
A wave of weakness, had.
Been cast aside, have lost my pride,
In misery, I'm clad.

How can I save her moment's joy?
How can I keep her "true"?
She's looking through the glass of rose,
She loved the life she knew.

I've dreamed the life I thought I led,
Or led the life I've dreamed.
Not sure this day, which is which,
As I've become unseamed.
I've tried, I've sighed, I've been denied,
A wave of weakness, had.
Been cast aside, have lost my pride,
In misery, I'm clad.

I wait for signs of something good
For feels of freshness, air,
To smother me, and then to be
evolved anew, in wear.
My outer then becoming dressed
With "inner being glow".
These thoughts today, I'll put aside,
Those of...not long ago.

think of times to come. . . rather then of times not long ago. . .
