 The gift of your smile hangs forever framed on my bedroom wall. You are seated on a rose colored couch nestled safely in Dad’s arms. The camera defines a plain and simple lineage quietly at ease You shall never age this smile shall never cease its brilliant light Headstones are nothing no longer corporeal earth cannot claim you You are all things wondrous author of tales teacher of children Sandpipers at the beach collector of rocks and pipes the wind in my hair Canary songbirds pathways through winding forest twenty-five cent tours You caress my hair three fingers sooth my pain dispel evil spirits You are my faith you are my tale of wonder you are my mother Creating a living history.
