*Gallery Reading Room*

today Wordweaver
I went into the woods
not to find you,
but to find myself

you see, I've been lost
for a while now too
not knowing which way to go
what path to take
not knowing if I should
follow my heart
(I guess I've always
followed my heart)
or, if I should listen
to the sounds and the words
of those who seem to think
that they know me better
than I know myself
(there seem to be a
lot of them these days)

so, this morning
I heard a song
a song sung sweet and low
carried by the wind
through my window
it was time
for me to go
and so, I went
they were ready for me
ready to share with me
the things that they had learned
the words that they had heard
the songs that they had sung

all these things they gave
to me Wordweaver
so that I might know
which path to take
which way to go

          follow your heart
                       follow your heart
                                 follow your heart

today Wordweaver
I went into the woods
not to find you,
but to find myself

and in finding myself,
Wordweaver,
I found you

Note: Wordweaver represents the poet in all of us. . . thank you. . .

I think I'm in a kind of sentimental mood today, because this one brought tears. Thanks for your wonderful weaving.

..and on your walk,
The gift you found,
Brings love and light,
Smiles to lips,
And tears to eyes.

Thank you for sharing, this John.   You bring more joy than you'll ever realize, I'm sure of it!

If I don't know myself than who am I to tell you who you are. Sven the words you share are always sincere, don't change for anyone except yourself.

You portray the essense of poetry..writing that takes us to a place where we discover who we are and what we are about..not writing to please but sometimes in our truthfullness we do please..because we do have common emotions and experiences and the need to understand others. Beautiful write!

Hi Sven,

The woods must be a popular place of late as well as a sifting through feelings and trying to find were the soul wants to be, this is truly beautiful Sven,

wow. . . thanks to everyone for your words. . . and thanks for reading this. . .

yes, the woods to seem to be very popular these days. . . simply because I think, for most of us, it's been a long winter. . .
