Hello Passions, it's been a while huh?....Well for those who catch this piece and know what kind of poetry I'm capable of, is in for a treat cause, this is one of my few poems were I reach like 90% of my potential as a poet...I'm still improving and with thanks to God, I feel like I can only get better.....I hope y'll like the poem!!

My imagination's in a time machine as I'm time traveling,
fiercely piercing through time cause, my mind's keen as a javelin
and I'm siting in the park excited, as rhyme schemes are unraveling.....

as my mind is gravitating back through centuries,
to the days of the prehistoric civilization
as, I deeply observed within the vicinity,
of the moment the dinosaurs, faced elimination....

as the meteorite was so fierce and hostile,
that it reduced the dinosaurs, to mere fossils.

I hopped in my machine as I looked amazed,
trying to decipher what just took place
as, I blasted through time with great pace
and stopped, in the time of the slave trade....

as I watched the white man beat the slaves with thick, hard whips
as cut and wounds, big as teaspoons, scarred their hips.....

I cried and cried, a million souls out my eyes
as mother earth cried, black coals from the sky.
I needed to escape as, I could no longer absorb the screams
so, I quickly hopped in, floored my machine, and took some morphine

as I was on riding on a high and not really caring why,
just waiting for the destiny to reveal, to a daring eye....

as I'm now, in the majestic, Garden of Eden
as Adam and Eve, are silently reading the Bible
as a reptilian demon, watched from a tree scheming,
ways for Adam and Eve to be, his leading disciples..

Suddenly, he approached Eve with an a piece of fruit
and told her, "if she took a bite, she would see the truth".
I left, knowing damn well that the fruit, came from the tree of life
and as quick as three strikes, it left man's morality, in deep strife...

I hopped in my machine mad at Satan,
blaming him for every bad situation,
suffering, from deep dehydration,
bluffering, as I reached my destination....

as I'm witnessing the infamous death, of John F. Kennedy,
a death infinity woven in the web of america's memory,

as I saw the origin of where the murderer sprayed fire
as the people's reaction to JFK's death, turned them haywire.....
as people were lying in the streets, crying in heaps
as they went to bed at night, still denying in their sleep....

I decided to leave, as I hopped in my buzzing machine
wishing it was a dream yet knowing, it wasn't a dream
and I'm crying inside confiding, for a mission to go home
but, my curiosity's dying inside, and like a sea, I must flow on.......

and now, I'm witnessing the genocide of the jews
as bodies were being baked in ovens like food,

as jews were forced to strip off their clothes, to be burned in nude
as I stared knowing, that only a son of Satan, could be so cruel......
as I saw Hitler smiling, like there was no sense of tomorrow,
as I agonized and headed back to my machine drenched in sorrow.......

My soul commenced in quarrels waiting for my journey to cease
but yet, I couldn't go cause, my heart still wasn't at peace,
as my I knew, that there was still more to see
and treasured keys, that would unlock doors for me....

so, I continued travelin through time
hopping to find, some kind of sunshine

but instead of happiness, I found myself crying in agony,
as I witnessed Martin Luther King, dying on the balcony..........
as he was visciously shot, by a man named James Earl Jones,
and I was so close to him, I could have hurled a stone,

but instead, I grieved in the streets with everyone
and loudly chanted the song, "we shall overcome."

Soon, I had to leave cause, folks were recieving no love
being drenched by fire hoses, and beaten with clubs,
as the police malicious actions, just freaked a riot,
failing to see that beatdowns and deaths, won't keep them quiet

cause, for some, the pain and suffering forever cries and never dies
as, the torch's been passed to me so, I shall keep King's endeavors alive.

I've survived and now I must proceed,
I must proceed to believe, and touch destiny,
because, my heart desires to be flown in space
and discover some inhabited, unknown place

as I transcended through space,
and befriended an alien race
as they told me to tell y'll fools this,
"that y'll clueless, and aliens do exist"!

I left space and now, I'm back in the park, in the present time of place,
smiling vibrantly, while writing this piece, with sunshine in my face.

Yes, deep. Through it all, it seems we didn't learn anything. We are the enemy of our own destiny.

I'll tell you Nate a very significant song came out in the late 60's called appropriately enough "The Eve of Destruction".  It touched me deep and spoke volumes as your poem does...James

Nate, my friend~
This is a poignant piece.
You've touched on some significant times in history
that bear remembering ... with compassion.

Thank you all for the replies, I am so deeply touched.....when I wrote this, I was so much in a zone that I believe that I exceeded my own level of intelligence....it was like the words were hidden and all I had to do was find them or something....all I can say is that, it's a miracle to me with thanks to God......

Nate, you've always had these words my friend. . . never doubt that they're always in you. . . it just takes a while sometimes for them to come out. . .

This was really superb. . . I love the way that you made it seem like that trip. . . and the feelings and the scenes that you showed. . . great job. . .

Don't be a stranger man, come back soon!!!

Nate, you have once again showed us so much of "human" beings, the master race.  I sometimes think we should give up and give this earth back to the animals.  Like Planet Of The Apes.  You have written a real "thinker" here.  Thanks.  ME
