I bought myself a hippy belt
big bold silver daisy chained
and little jangling jingling bells
to echo on my thighs refrained.

A tie-dyed shirt
to drape crepe skirt
patchouli lingers
finger's well
and everything I was before
I command to be once more
barefoot dancing
moonlight sin
I live again
and recommend
the comfort of
my shadow's dwell.

I say "Heaven"
you say "Hell"
"LET IT ALL BEGIN AGAIN!!!"
Snake-like whisper
of my tongue--
the center is
the very end.

This was great Serenity, a terrific flow to the words. I've now got pictures of hippies and flower children dancing in my mind, wonderful!

Best wishes,
/Kit

You know I still have clothes like these from the '60's!!
I enjoyed reading this....reminded me of "Dancin' in the Street"

damn JM...you were right...I DID write a poem about Jazzfest...ROFLMAOTNTPMP....AND YES...Thanks all...this was my half-baked memory of one the most awesome musical adventures I have ever had the pleasure of...Widespread Panic, with the Wild Magnolia's...this band played until 2:30 in the morning!!! Topped Bruce Springstein for sheer endurance and better sound than the Who's Quadrephenia Tour! And the people were magnificent and Kay? Love your wardrobe? But I bought my outfit last week!!!
Thanks all...Love ya much (serenity exits, still dancin'...)
