Welcome to the year,
that invisible I became.
An ordinary life,
made complicated by simplicity itself.
In all honesty my disappearance began,
when decisions didn't matter.
My thoughts were transparent.
My love was like contact paper on a book.
I struggle to appear,
but the more I struggle the more I disappeared.
Even my tears didn't show.
Or at least no one saw them.
My sadness,
had a hard time letting go,
it fought until the end to no avail.
My hands were the first to go,
they stopped doing what they loved the best.
In time everything was gone.
Now I hold nothing,
endlessly I stand.
People walk right pass me,
specially the ones that I love.
I talk no one listens.
And in my misery,
misery holds me.
Welcome to the year,
that invisible I became.
The year I lost it all,
my life, my love, my all.

walker ~~ you write beautifully, and they do not go unnoticed. LP

Day in Day out...My love for you grows.
Without you, my life would be empty. So I hold my mustard seed of faith in us.

The sadness your words portray. Oh how I hope you become visible again, to someone
who will appreciate your love.

I don't believe you are invisible at all.  This is coincidental.  I attended the musical Chicago last night and this poor fellow had such a poor opinion of himself that he thought he was invisible.  Joyce

Seems we're having a very similar year...sorry about that, for both of us.

I think this line is superb, walker - You've got a wonderful knack for expressing yourself... Nicely done...

This is beautiful Walker.  You've captured such sorrow within these lines, one that can be felt deeply. Wonderful expression and phrasing, very nicely written!

Best wishes,
/Kit

Never feel you are invisible, My Friend, because someone ALWAYS see's! Just we don't always know it.
