Forgive me if I depress anyone with this one maybe it should have been in dark passions but I thought it was suited for open.....enjoy though...Bye 4 now...J

I'm just sitting here alone
trying to make sense of it all
and I just can't figure it out
how everything has gone wrong
life in the back of my car
not guided by the midnight star
going nowhere fast
tell me
how long can it last?
and I just sit and think
got to find a question
to all of the answers in my head
fearing what the wise man said
as he tried to read my mind
the past holds the future in it's hands
fate leads you into destiny's land
holding on to what I desire
burning the oil with no fire
and I wonder who is left
out there for me to admire
no songs to touch my soul
no smiles to help me grow
just an empty space
left there in my place
how do I go on?
what have I done wrong
how does the world go on?
and I don't want to think
'bout what's been going on
lifes idiosyncrysies
they have has begging
down on our knees
so I sit here
all by myself
watching that empty space
over there that was my place
and I miss my place
my side of the world
my center, my core
I miss my corner
of the earth
now waiting for a new life
to finally give birth
and I don't think I can wait much more
but I listen and I don't hear
anyone knocking
at my door......

Wow, this is powerfully said.  The emotions are vivid, the flow is exemplary.  I truly enjoyed the read, but have no answers other than to decide not to care if one is alone. Hmm, that has a ring of "to settle" in it, I wonder if that's a good choice.
