~*~ Spring Lights ~*~

We rode out to the country,

And all the lights were green;

Such springlike views were waiting,

A welcome May day scene.

But rain, soon for our outing,

Came down in torrents dread;

And it seems to us, on our homeward run,

That all the lights were red!

Gotta tell ya, I had a hard time wanting to make a comment on this one. I WANTED TO STAY and listen to the music!!!

Enjoyed the trio of media to present this poem.

Sounds like the story  of my forgotten golf game. I don't know why they make up songs about raindrops, truly I want the spigott turned off for a while. Cute idea for a poem.

Virginia: Don't know what it is doing there, but we have had quite enough rain now, and yes, isn't the music fun!  Thank you.

Julian: ditto! Thanks for reading.

Joyce: Thank you

Marge: You LOVE the rain?  Well you would LOVE Vancouver as you don't die here you rust away!  He he - thanks for your cute comment.

Some outings are just like that, aren't they?
I live in the country and you know what?  There is only one light.     Enjoyed!

Auguste: Well...from the mountains to the country for me is about 100 traffic lights, and it seemed getting home in that storm, it took forever, as the lights were not cooperating and were almost always red!  He he, and boy, are you lucky to live in the country.
