~*~ Insomnia ~*~

I have searched the ancient writings,
A sleepless cure to find,
It seems the Greeks were quite tired out,
Olympic Games, in mind.

The Romans give a gentle hint,
And perhaps here is a clue?
In, Amor Omnia vincit"-
A Latin, tag, 'tis true!

They say "love conquers everthing",
Or "amor vincit omnia",
So probably commend it as,
A real cure for insomnia.

So love as strongly as you can,
Within your legal rights,
And when your through, you'll find that you,
Can soundly sleep at nights!

I like being an insomniac...it's in those wee hours that I do my best writing.    Good one, my friend.

Mysteria

I have lived with insomnia for about 10 years now, I sometimes find writing at night when all is quiet, can be rather peaceful....   this is a beautiful write from you...hugs...

Waseem - I am laughing at you here I can just hear you!

Serenity - Laughing at your too, funnnnny!

Joe - I saw this movie and couldn't agree more

Irish Rose - you are too sweet but it takes almost an anvil on the head to get me some sleep sometimes.

Auguste - if we weren't night owls, I would never get to share conversations with you, and I would truly miss out then wouldn't I, as you are very special!

Greeneyes - I have lived with it for what seems forever, and you learn to adjust don't you?

Thank you all for reading and getting a kick out of this poem expressing my disgust for this ongoing misery.
