Marine Push

Fog smooths early through the town;
Cool and easy,
As though a woman's slip
Before it warms with the day's motion.
The ground responds,
Maps
Precisely like a quilt,
The coordinates where curves cross;
Here a farm,
There a brook tripping over itself
Like a clutch of boys pushing adolesence.
Just beyond
The look of silk
Pillows up against a mound
Known to contain a community of alders.
All day long
The fog obscures
What's going on.

Oh Bob, I must put a copy in my favorites, in fact I must print one out on the designer paper that will befit it.  Don't know if the perfect one's been made yet, though.  The images and textures you've crafted here are supurb.  I absolutely love the brook tripping over itself!

"Like a clutch of boys pushing adolesence."
Give me break! Oh, how I wish I had such words to create an equal snapshot. I love it!Perhaps I should give up being a poet and arrive on your door step as a student. Wow!

Well, this more than certainly will either cause one to put a pen down and applaud...and leave the pen down...

or after the applaud, make every valiant attempt to pick it up once again, and try a little harder...

a keeper...for life.
