Hush the night
though sounds pass by far
in ancient melodies
that resemble a beat.
That beat is your heart
that takes a moment
to comprehend the feeling
that you swore to uphold.
The feeling of foresight
to make your way through
the ink stained day
that trips you.
Is your desk a sanctuary,
or has it become your cell?
The everyday order
that tears you down.
In the eve of your nightmare
when you press to be whole
sing silent the windows
that whisper you home.

Yes, when the day gets too much  the night is there waiting.  Just be sure to leave day where it belongs.  Joyce

Great piece!  Everyone has a Sanctaury.  It's how you use it that counts.
