You and Me
Me and You
The only one for me
is you.

You've felt my tears
absorbed them well--
You've heard my unspoken pleas,
and prayers.

You've been there
since I was a little girl,
and watched me grow.
I've haven't perfected being who I am,
As I embarked on each and every journey.

But now that I'm older,
and somewhat wiser.
I can't discard you
threads shreaded and sadly woren.

I know I need to go on a new venture
and buy a new bear to hug--
to absorb my tears and hear my pleas.

I need to hug and snuggle one so warm,
so I can whisper all my secrets to,
not in discord, for I know you won't tell.

How I can't bring myself to replace you,
for you are dear to my heart.
You've brought me from my darkness
into daylight.
To start afresh to dawns new light.

Come let me hug you...

This is very sweet. I have still a teddy bear that an ex boyfriend gave me. Fuzzy and I've been through so much together that I doubt I can ever bear to give him up.

I attempted this past Sunday to find a new bear to hug. To say, I walked out of several store empty handed. For none stood out that could take "Teddie" place.  I plan to make a Bear room, and of course there will be a place of honor to Teddie.  I know some of you are going "Ahh, come on - it's a girl thing."  no, ask your parents - we all hold something dear to us. So to all -- thank your reading my poem and bring back memories whether happy or sad - Teddies and dolls alike will be there.

Irish Rose~ Again, I admire rose in and given name.  Thank you - your wonderful.

i remember my little teddy bear that i wouldnt let my mom discard and it was pretty
worn out but i loved it so
