the open pearl that catches the book pages
wet still
from the morning row,
the last willow sways and brakes the day
into the open pearl
and with travel and truth
old and at youth
i am weathered and read like the wet pages
of the rough pearl
at day
swaying in the limbs of the willow
and still wet from the morning row
did i fall from the boat
will i fall from the limb
is the pearl in rough or did it shine from the begingin
and mellow me

My girl, my girl, I've missed you so...you write in koans, did you know that? Please stay with us a bit...I have so missed the thoughtful grace of your meanderings of mind.

forgot to add...that pearls...like jade, are meant to be worn against the skin...they luster and color with the oils of our very "aliveness"....smiles you.
