Reprieve

Your words to me are so gentle
so new against the face of memory
I hope we stay here for awhile
neither seems to be in any hurry
thank you for the questions you haven’t asked
things you don’t need to know, yet
I’m content, too…with what I am shown
at your discretion
I trust this soul

This is a great poem.  This poem rings very true to me.

"thank you for the questions you haven’t asked
things you don’t need to know, yet
I’m content, too…with what I am shown"

I feel exactly the same way.
love the poem =)

JLR- Great poem, I agree sometimes is better to keep somethings secret, specially when it comes to love. The less we know the better, sometimes.

Probably the most exciting part of a new relationship, well done!

Oh, I like this.  Beginnings are built with careful gentleness.  A time of discovery, to be slowly savored.  Bravo, JLR!

To me this poem speaks of trusting your partner to tell you things as they deem it necessary. I try to trust in relationships, but don't always succeed. Great poem
