Your apple tree is blooming now,
The tree you've never known.
We planted it in your memory;
The day after you'd moved on.

Our son was he who dug the hole,
And planted the tree with care.
It was just a tiny little sprout,
And looked quite pathetic there.

But now its grown above my head,
And has spread its branches wide.
Its fruit as sweet as your tender kiss,
With beauty undenied.

And now I plant another tree;
They will make a magnificent pair,
In memory of the self-same son
Who planted your tree with care.

We spoke of anticipated fruit,
Of just how sweet it would be;
Not knowing before we had a taste
There'd be need for another tree.

Thank you dear friends.  I write of them to you because no one says their names to me very often.  They think they're sparing me.  I need to speak sometimes.  Joyce

Pulling at my heartstring... for I'll be planning a tree soon too.  For my vision the tree will grow tall and strong, with constant love and care... all things are possible with God's love. LP
