Listening to every heart

Qs Exercise

one would reflect,
you’d imagine,
that to put

two words together
would give it
an exact meaning

quint being five

essential, meaning
intrinsically necessary

so as my mind pondered
and wandered
‘round
quintessential as an exercise

why does it not mean
five times necessary…

or intrinsically entwined five times

but rather

most perfect

but if I were to quip along
…just imagine

would a fifth of a quintillion
in remarks
from you
be enough to last me
a lifetime through…?

qui vive to hear

a quintette of angelic voices
harmonizing

or are you just
questioning my quest
in an exercise
of quietude

has queasiness snuck in?

or have I quicksilvered
your mood…

would you become
quarrelsome and anxious
to quench this anquish

or have you stepped
in my quicksand
of queries…

it’s just an exercise
to wrap my tongue
around the word

quintessential

as I think to quell
that desire you
might have
to read

something
in which
to quilt
your
soul

ahhh...that mind of yours is ever thinking in terms of poetry...
this is very clever and cool ...
or is that qool..I mean ...quool
you are indeed the quintessential poet

Though my soul may sit in darkness,
It will arise in perfect light.
For I have loved the stars too fondly ...
To be fearful of the night.

Quite extraordinary ...
Put my mind in a quandry, you did ...
Quickened my heart through your quilted words ...

Much enjoyed these thoughts of yours Karilea!

Best wishes,
/Kit
