Together we walk hand in hand
               down at the ocean
listening to the sounds of the sea.

It whispers the sounds of a roaring tide
as we walk along side by side.

               Gentle waves roll in
               and touch our bare feet,
               the bright sun sky
               fills us with glowing heat.

Night soon returns with the whispering sounds
that were born of the sea,
creating a song for us to dance
and there is no place that I'd rather be.
               Locked in your arms and
               wrapped in your love
as we listen to the whispering sounds
               the sea.

On the wings of words our spirits fly....and our souls are free.

Gentle Spirit,

The scent, sounds and touch of the sea always inspire me to write.  Thanks for a visit to the water's edge.  Enjoyed it much.

You're so right.  The sea can be such a lulling sound.  And with love too?  Oh my.

Love the sea water on my toes...even at the latitude at which I am able to experience it...generally very frigid!  The spookiness of the sand being swept from under my feet by the tide is tittilating, too.  Enjoyed the visit with you.

The only time in my life I walked along an ocean shore I walked alone, and I walk alone now in a way, sometimes it's hard but you have to do it...just keep walking.
