I was born for this
Many years ago
To live within the tune
And all my being
Rejoices when
Perfection seems so near.
Every stroke and every note
Seems to echo
Some of that great dream,
When man first raised his head

I was born for this
Many years ago
To seek the perfect note
And all my life
I travel still
In search of that great tune.
And as I go into that dark night
I know it will be left behind
My quest unfinished
And still I try
For pleasures all shall be given.
A musicians life
A hopeless quest
At last to find my peace.

to live within the tune....a wonderful phrase

We all go through life, I think, searching for that perfect something...I can hear the melody of "The Impossible Dream" playing...

very well written, poet..
