Witches, sorcerers, gnomes and dwarves
a wonderful world to behold.
I wish I never have to leave
and marr this pleasant memory
of wandering minstrels, castles and kings
with whom I wish to be
in castles broad and churches high
reaching high into the sky
damsels fair
magical silvery mares
flying high
kissing the golden sky
with lips fair
shining of majestic peak
in the pale moonlight
noble knights swordfight into the night
for battles won and honor lost
the struggle continues on
glorius creatures look on at the wondrous throng
that calls with pleading voice
to stand
and rejoice
the black knight is dead
poor fellow lost his head
but time calls me on
though I have done no wrong
and scolds me so gently
and tells me
I ought to be in bed
this voice is my mother's sweet voice
telling me I'm too old for fantansies
so I must leave
and never return
and its grandeur never again to yearn
never again smell the fresh clean air
or feel the warm, silky mane
of a beautiful white mare
time calls and I must go
fairy tales, stories and dreams
tommorow just a childish fantasy
like a book never to be opened again
so past fantasies do fade
the ageless wonder of a child's eyes
is all but past
for timeless tales that never last
yonder lies the future and I must heed its call
leave my boyhood dreams
and develop brilliant sceams
time has taken its heartless course
and stole anothers fantasies
for this take heed
have no greed
when time calls
keep your dreams!

Brad~
Keeping our dreams alive is not always as easy at it sounds ....
But ... Oh so necessary.
You did a wonderful write with this.
