If you were to add up the salaries for all the jobs that a mother performs
throughout the year, how much would her services be worth? According
to a report in 'The Washington Post', she would recieve $508,700 a year!
This figure is based on a study of median salaries for occupations that
mothers typically perform. These are some of the 17 occupations
included in the report, along with their average annual salary: Child-care
worker, $13,000; bus driver, $32,000; psychologist, $29,000; animal
       caretaker $17,000; registered nurse $35,000; excutive chef, $40,000;
and general office clerk, $19,000. According to Ric Eldemen, chairman
of the financial services company that conducted the study, these
figures do not take into account such expenses as Social Security and
       other retired benefits.

                       Repost:

                       A namesake kin a mother's touch
the breath of life her endless love.
Her swollen dreams the growing watch
are mother's gifts we gain a spot.

Like an open moon she leaves her mind,
like a common poet her reasons rhyme.
The burden light we tow the line
for mother's love we make the time.

His master's voice wound up to spin
                       played yesterday and fashioned friends
                       and mother's breast held fantasies
were playgrounds where young hearts were free
and Jolson's made me love you lines
were heard when new born infants cried.

Dear mother's care pursues on call
like sun shines through a waterfall,
like snow melts in suns of spring
and little things like mother's wing.

                       Lying words disguised as wise
fall on mother's love that never dies.
                       Her breast loved champions arise
with mother's love the guiding light.

His masters's voice wound up to spin
played love songs to young mothers when
golden dawns brought days of peace
                       and candlelight brought easy sleep.
True rhapsodies flowed through the point
                       with analogs for mother's joy.

The role of poetry is to utter the un-utterable; to open up
spaces of consciousness and resistance; to language oppressions; to
re-language historie

=====================

you just need to be kissed for this one
the respect and devotion in this tribute to mothers love is simply beautiful
this is a wonderful piece of writing Eric...
your heart and wisdom always shine in your words.

Though my soul may sit in darkness,
It will arise in perfect light.
For I have loved the stars too fondly ...
To be fearful of the night.
