Passion Clouded

Caught up, knocked from my feet
seduced by the emotion of beauty,
untainted infatuation, too naïve
to predict an ending

I went along for the ride

Another story showing in my mind, no more than that
entertaining myself with harmless fantasy,
until my hand was called, my bluff met
your hand lay in mine

I let go of reason

Passion, madness…can feel quite the same
when the cloud cover is thick with satisfaction,
bodies, hearts acting without thought
mostly without consequence

I would love you forever

Full circle of innocence, no one meant a moments harm
blinders secured, no need to fear
every good intention ours
still the motion is towards darkness

I try to settle again for function

But finding no rest, alone, in a dually made drama
stepping back, my distance now safe
thinking again I regret
ever taking the risk

I will never be the same

JLR~
What an emotional out-letting ...

'Passion, madness…can feel quite the same
when the cloud cover is thick with satisfaction'

'I will never be the same'

Deeply touching ...
Muchly enjoyed.

Beautiful write.  I never regret a thing, as that makes for a frown, however if it teaches me a lesson I smile. I thought this was great!

"I let go of reason"
Why not?
Nicely done.  I felt it.

Oh you did chisel the words
from Olympian stone
to bring this to all
which applies to all

A very fine job
