How Would I know?

To hear your voice,
your laugh,
the tiny sigh you make,
the way you rustle
when you twist and turn,
the pad of your feet
across the floor;
To see the sparkle
in your eyes,
your smile,
your nose,
your hair
about your face,
the way you look at me;
To touch your hand,
your cheek,
your lips,
your heart,
your soul;
to feel the warmth
of your body next to mine…
and yet you dare to ask,
if I were to ever need you,
how would I know.

James--the answer is obvious to me...but sometimes it's nice to be told anyway...very loving sweetness in this poem.

I had to smile......how often we do wonder why we're loved.  You've expressed it beautifully.

Lovely writing, James.  Cherish that feeling my friend.

All writing comes
by the grace of God.
