Narrowing my path, I go in life. Closing my eyes to my own destiny. Refusing to follow the steps behind me. Relegating my sorrows, ignoring my role. Walking in darkness, pretending it's light. Sometimes foretelling, the beauty in lies. Keeping my focus, on the cracks on the road. Avoiding distraction to make sure not to fall. At times relocating, what is right on my mind. Skipping the edges, to stay right on track. But always returning, to the place that I love, where my security lies up there, above. |
