You held a flower in Your hands;
You held it tight and dear.
You carried it with You everywhere;
You loved it so.

Yet the flower grew thorns;
It demanded to leave.
Tears fell from Your eyes;
Utterly, You were grieved.

You agreed to its cry;
You said it is ok.
You placed it in the ocean;
And let it be carried away.

But the flower then realized;
It had just left home.
It was going somewhere strange;
Somewhere it knew it would drown.

So it struggled to swim;
But a flower can only do so much.
But You saw its struggles;
And dived in to save it.

Now You hold it in Your arms;
Never wanting to let go.
Now the flower stays with You;
Never wanting to leave.

Quite an anology. Thank goodness flowers are notoriously poor swimmers.

I do like this, very much.
