Deep in the heart

Farewell
Source of my light.
I will miss your warmth
And illumination.
It was nice
To bask in your glow,
Even for a short time,
Dreaming again,
Feeling again,
Hoping again.
It was nice
To be alive once again,
Challenged once again,
Appreciated a little.
Darkness reigns.

Ouch.........You write this loss very well.  I compliment you.  Emotion flows.

May Darkness's rule be short. I love this, and I've read more of your work than commented on..just never knew what to say.

Very moving write.  I feel the page aching.

And in the darkness may your own light shine Interloper.....poignant writing, well done.

Interloper, your poem is truly terrific but I'm sure you already knew that I'd be drawn into this one sweetie...

In the darkness one may learn
To face the fears and cry tears alone
And through this journey time shall heal
As in the end new beginnings reveal
Strength and love of family and friend
Help tumble down the walls of defence
Now set free to soar in gentle winds
Nevermore in the midst of dark shadow again...
