“Time heals all wounds”, I’ve heard it said.
Alas, it isn’t true.
Though years have past, you’re just as dead.
And I’m still missing you.

Cliches mean nothing to the dead,
Nor us you leave behind-
Though time may verdant carpets spread
There’s naught to soothe the mind.

Pain of body well might cease-
Through medicants and such.
But pain of spirit knows no ease,
Though we have sought it much.

So time moves on, a weary scroll-
We wait with labored breath...
Till our limbs, too, grow still and cold,
And we are joined in death.

Very good enjoyed and agree with this.

"“Time heals all wounds”,
I’ve heard it said.
Alas, it isn’t true."

Yes, sometimes the best is yet to be, even if we have to wait for death to attain it.
