Olive oil and moussaka
Black olives and feta cheese
These are a few of the many things
In my picnic basket, which are sure to please

We park our bikes on the hillside
As we lay out our rug on the grass
Then we sit so close together
As you hand me some wine in a glass

On an island of white is where we are
The azure blue of the Meditteranean Sea
A place for lovers to drown in their love
The perfect place for you and me

Santorini is an island of white and blue
One of the Greek islands that's so grand
Along the pebbled beach is where so many come
In search of that perfect tan

But for now we will lay in the sunshine
With the warm wind caressing my face
And know that for now we couldn't possibly be
In any better place

Some good images here.  I think maybe it needs some tightening up a bit, but that's not one of my strong suits.  I don't know who to recommend though.  There are so very many fine poets here that I haven't gotten to know the styles and particular skills of any of them, really.  Not with consistency of convicition.  Maybe Marge Tindal, she writes much in few words often.

SueTang~
What a delightful read.
I could linger on your Isle of White & Blue for a long, long while.

You've used beautiful imagery and given us a lasting look at the serenity of this Isle.

Santorini sounds so enchanting -
Thank you for sharing your thoughts in this lovely write.

Thank you for your lovely words.  I was fortunate enough to have travelled to the Greek Islands in 1984 and some places leave you with such wonderful memories.......Sue
