In the space between moments

0 posted 2001-04-22 09:46 PM

Candlelight... the rain...
And velvet draped stone
Weaves a subtle, warming ambiance
That spills forth (with a visible sheen)
Into my hollowed spaces--
The steady, trickling melody
Melding exquisitely
With the rhythm in my soul.

I stand exposed, staring from beyond
Softly illuminated walls...outward...
Through the windowpanes...upward...
To an amethystine tinted sky...
And I watch the clouds glide east
While the crystal cascade falls on.

Tiny raindrops cling to tree branches
Like translucent autumn berries
Dropping swiftly when the breath of Earth
Pushes nonchalantly through...
And each water-droplet kiss
Brings forth a new beginning to the land
And all who shares it’s wealth.

I realize now that I stand embraced,
Each tremble of the atmosphere
Caressing me...
Filling my hollowed spaces
With a subtle, warming ambiance
Created by candlelight...and rain.

I can't believe how good you are with words.  It's totally amazing.  I believe I haven't read much of your work, but right now I'm in awe. I'm glad I read this and thankful that you decided to share with us your talent.  Thanks again

As always your imagery and choice of words is incredible. Such a connectedness with the earth and the wonders of things  like "translucent autumn berries." I loved the line "steady trickling melody." The idea of a grand harmony appeals to me.

Sigh Krista,
your imagery is so vivid, that you showed me what you we experiencing......

I stand exposed, staring from beyond
Softly illuminated walls...outward...
Through the windowpanes...upward...
To an amethystine tinted sky...
And I watch the clouds glide east
While the crystal cascade falls on.
~~~~~~
Tiny raindrops cling to tree branches
Like translucent autumn berries
~~~~~~

I realize now that I stand embraced,
Each tremble of the atmosphere
Caressing me...
Filling my hollowed spaces
With a subtle, warming ambiance
Created by candlelight...and rain.
~~~~~~~
I could feel the atmosphere created by.... Candlelight and rain
my senses came alive. Thank you.
