(I do agree - cats own poets - this is my 'cat' poem
If I am reposting - forgive me)

As we’re sitting and talking I close my eyes
You touch me softly and I am smiling
A long blink - eyes closed more than an instant
I try to grin my most beguiling

As I return your gaze I see
You give a most curious look
"Why, did you close your eyes like that?"
Knowing that I'm an open book

I say, "Did you ever notice your cat?
Cats, they do not blink when they fear
Moreover as a sign of trust
They close their eyes it's clear"

"When you're look at them and they close their eyes
That you have their love you should know
Like when they knead you with their gentle paws
And the love continues to grow"

As I return your gaze I see
You show me then a long slow blink
Before your eyes return open
A wonderful kiss shared I think.

The first duty of love is to listen.

This is a sweet and loving look at the wondrous feline...and Wils? I have found through experience that men who understand cats---understand women--and are FABULOUS lovers!

I have always believed that it took a very strong man to admit his love for cats.  I like to be proven right.

Thank you for this....thank you very much!

Very nice.  I'm quite inclined to agree, that is definitely a cat-kiss sign.

It has been said: "Children and dumb animals love me"  - I don't know what that says about you poets
But it is true - It is extremely rare 0 that I do not bond with cats - or dogs - (some other species still suspect)

Anyhow - thank you all
