The Moon Exists For You

memories linger
as eyes hold yesterday's view
guided by the sway

sighing, the darkness
caresses the evening's still
moonbeams touch within

a depth to be reached
fearing not, feelings of old
for now is the time

eternity spent
rekindling the embers
flames of desire

reigning high above
in the darkness of the night
dusting you with glow

glistening in morn
brings a smile to the sadness
kept locked up inside

soapstone heart of mine
pocketed upon my breast
absorbing your warmth

look up to the sky
though miles apart, moon exists
to be shared by you.

I think of someone very special when I see the moon and this poem really meant a lot to me. Thank you for this.

What a 1derful string of senryus. Well Done. I especially liked the following:
