I think my voice may break
into this dark cellar of sound
where only Emily's dread could tread
dray drivers corner down park streams
gladdened am I to think of soft sweet soil
mixtures of rock and clay
ever molding in heated caverns
only gentlemen call after the hour at noon.

"I am not now that which I have been."

This piece reads well.  I'm going to have to mull it over to derive your meaning.  Joyce
