Old Man Emanations

Not fair,
those who are not allowed
or do not allow
themselves
to get really old ~ even worse when
they do not allow…

and did you escape, then, the sharpness
of your winters’ discontent
and frigidity of moments movement
by southern exposure,
allowing one day to meld into
another
as you clicked away

you, sir, did what you wanted.

In brief, epigrammatic manner
there was a single
flicker
in my mind,
that I might write judiciously
of you, to share with
honor those
that honor, respect, admire,
you.

Conversely, il faut d’abord durer,

I’ve not yet traveled enough,
my endurances are scant.

But I shall revisit this theme
someday,

and do right.

Somehow, though, I feel a smile in your
spirit, as I hear a voice on the wind,

“just do.”
