Silently... Missing You Here I stand at the edges overlooking the cliffs below remembering how we once soared like an eagle wings spreading far and wide touching eternity, in awe of each other. Off in the distance I hear the rumblings a forecasting of the storm to come foreboding as darkest of thoughts begin to seep into my head and shutting my eyes I try to feel the winds warmth kissing me, as your lips once had instead of the chill, beginning to cloak me. For a moment, my spirits are raised Everything becomes peaceful again I feel you beckoning to me, swaying me in your hold. The threat has passed... taking a deep breath, I turn slowly walking the edge, I blink back the tears. And as dusk nears, light filters through the haze my head is lifted, drawn by it's rays. As the shadows blend into the deepening dark, silently, I am bending life your way. ~Wynter/Maureen "The worst prison would be a closed heart". |
