I am on the run, through heavy smoke
Your eyes blind the laughing joke
And by the end your mask is off
In clear water i see Devils love

God making babies on the side
Screams for meaning light
And dying Angel gargels blood
The is no winner in this fight

You run so fast to earn your dime
Before you realize the time is gone
Watch the sand run out of breath
Whose time to go, your guess?

Now play with words - die, by, the time, more, for, your, God, you, fight, his, might
Your guess was right
Still you are in this fight

Now read my lips - of, more, The Jesus, dead, Bible, read, need, crying, baby, feed
I've done my deed
I've killed now
My soul has freed the need

Hello I am Freeing-Stan,
now that we met
Boom-BEM!
And you are dead.

This one puzzles me---your statement is beyond me, I fear. But you did evoke a frantic feeling in me--sometimes I too feel like it's all for nothing. My heart was racing trying to keep up the pace here. Thanks for sharing, now excuse me while I go look for a valium!

The last line of the third stanza, do you mean "Whose?"

and I like my poetry dark, so I enjoyed this one quite a bit, but I feel it would be complete without the "Hello I am freeing-Stan" stanza . . . Embers

Dance with me under the moon. Touch my pale skin. Devour me. Love me.

hehe yeah thats what i meant, i don't read my poetry twice, once i write it then forget it.
I thought the last stanza was the best part of the poem, maybe not.
Its kind of black humor.

Glad you enjoyed that.

Peace and Love to all.
Stan.

Time slows for no man nor woman, but we can step back and enjoy our own pace. Freedom comes with a price, though one I gladly pay.

"I am not now that which I have been."
