I watch in muted gasps
as he rubs
cologne
between his hands and pats
his shaven beard.
He moves his face side-to-side shedding
beads,
and I check his profile.
My want,  sighs..

White cotton snaps
to the air as he buries his
head through the opening
of a t-shirt freshly laundered,,

I draw closer.

He pulls it down over his chest
rolling it out
and I reach to
smooth it for him, my hands
expressing need.

His hands find mine and wrap
me around him, pulling
me closer.

I take on a wild scent;
outlining his reddened jaw
with my fingers.
The blue denim jeans remain
on the bureau;
belt-threaded through,
wrinkled and worn
they would only be in the way;
as anticipation is…..

satisfied.
