I journey alone, so far to go,
I would love to have a hand to hold,
but I journey alone,
The sun glares down, I often frown,
So much heat, my heart skips a beat,
Still I journey onward in this heat,
I don't know if it's the sun,
Or the silence, no more fun,
I journey alone, to learn of life,
Sometimes the road is long,
Not even a single song, to hum along,
Footsteps in this sand,
Yet I must stand,
Suddenly I fall down, I face my life,
Realizing tears of such remorse,
Then I realize I've taken the wrong course,
I begin to feel an inner strength,
I begin to run this race,
My heart beating at a steady pace,
Love comes in, I linger on,
Life begins again.
Life begins again.
