In Your Poetic Mind

     Where the willow trees and
     The blue grass touch,
     Sits a still shadow
     As soft light fills
     A heart and reflects
     The landscape of past
     Times and future memories

     You speak of rain dancing,
     With words stirring my emotion
The beauty of your images, your dreams
     Trap my imagination

     You speak my heart with
Truth, as if you have known
Me all your life, as if
     We were lovers, so
     Intimate with passion

     Your syllables drift on the
     Breeze my heart connects
     Again to remember,
     To await

I sit to watch the sun roll
     By, the ocean waves it's
Tides to the shore, the union meets
     With perfect harmony

     Perhaps now in this surreal
     Silence, I will find peace,
     Dreaming keeps us
     Together, understanding
     Provides the escape

     In the grass
     Where The Willow Trees Grow
     I Can Always Find You

this is sooooo beautiful L,
so serene and graceful...
your imagery is like a Monet painting
your words transport me to a quiet place of momentary content...
thank you for that.
take care gentle poetess.

Greeneyes - this is one of the most beautiful romantic writings I have seen. You write with much emotion and tenderness. It is not often that I am this touched by a poem that I have read. I can't say enought about this one. Just loved it and felt it.

Ah, I love willow trees!  They were my mother's favorite. Thank you for this.
