sired in myrrh a solar flame

I have always believed in the myth of immortality associated with this magnificant symbol of Greek mythology. The fact that there was only one Phoenix at a time, and it lives only so long as it felt useful has always intrigued me, and I do identify with a Phoenix.  I absolutely adored this tanka, can you tell LOL

Poet deVine: thank you for stopping by. You must be having decent weather down your way, because ours is pretty damp.

Tracie: Hugs back to you and thank you for reading.

VAS: I am fascinated with both the form of tanka and the Phoenix. Thank you for reading.

Embers: A kind comment coming from a master wordsmith. I blush.
