          Labor Pains

Abused but not amused my mind,
Rebels creative labors bind.
And though I wait the poem be spawn.
It feels to me a breach stillborn.

The baptismal tires' me.
False ecstasy born agony.
And myopia is my fault
The end of my nose is my vault

I cannot judge my issue.
Even be it toilet tissue.
Will it live or will it die?
And the unanswerable why?

So if you could and be so kind
To please relieve my petty mind
By jotting down a yea or nay
You would in kindness make my day.

And if poetry be your vice
Please treat me like a little spice.

You are my red hot pepper
my chili spice
a little oregano
and your thyme, caprice

I mellow you out
by addition of cilantro
piquant you are
and rosemary'd be droll

if we didn't have your daily
traveling salvation show

Just writing so you know, I be by. I know those word are forthcoming, not to worry.

"I am not now that which I have been."

Your issue's never toilet tissue
(Though some verses make me cry)
I'll read with glee all poetry
That's posted by dear Sy!

One more vote in the YES column!!! (But has Florida learned to tally ballots yet? *EG*)
